A lot of my work comes by reputation and word of mouth. Relationships and trust are important in this most sensitive of service areas.
I have supported agencies including the Police, Health Boards, Private and Voluntary Sector providers and CAFCASS. In the Local Authority sector I have provided support across the spectrum of need, from early intervention to child protection services.
I am often contacted in crisis and turnaround situations where agencies have very specific problems at that time and want to know if I can help them? And if so, how I'd approach it.
I also work proactively in service development with agencies, developing solutions, evaluating projects and creating bespoke interventions. One of my strengths is in direct intervention with staff in large group settings, small group learning and as a mentor.
Developing a relationship and building trust with the person commissioning services is important. The first step is in that initial engagement conversation where we can clarify what people's needs are and if I can assist.
